Plan your drop-off

Dumps & landfills in Colorado

Colorado coverage here is a thin first pass: 29 places, mostly county landfills and transfer stations on the Western Slope and eastern plains, plus a few permanent household-hazardous-waste sites. The Front Range, Summit, Larimer, Douglas and Jefferson counties are not covered because official pages were blocked or unreadable. Treat Colorado as partly done.

Eagle County, Boulder County and Weld County (Greeley and Dacono) run permanent household hazardous waste drop-offs for their own residents. La Plata County uses periodic events instead (none in 2026; next listed April 9-10, 2027). Medications are not taken at Eagle's HHW site.

25 listed facilities are confirmed open to the public. Others may limit access by residency or customer type. Check the individual access rules.

How much does a dump run cost?

Compare the listed minimum charges and item fees. A missing price means call to confirm, and an accepted item may still carry the normal load fee.
