Plan your drop-off

Dumps & landfills in Arkansas

Arkansas dumps are run mostly by counties, cities and regional solid waste districts, with big private landfills (WM, Republic, GFL) taking commercial loads. Several districts, such as Benton County and Saline County, limit drop-off to local residents with ID. Always check the operator's page or call before you load up.

What are you getting rid of?

State rules to know

Tires

Whole tires cannot go in a landfill unless shredded or split, and tires must be taken to permitted collection centers or facilities. Official rule ↗

Electronics

Arkansas can ban electronics from landfills but has not done so, so household e-waste may go in the trash unless a local landfill restricts it. Recycling is still encouraged. Official rule ↗

Household hazardous waste is handled by regional districts, not the state. Boston Mountain (Washington and Madison counties), Benton County and Carroll County take it from residents, many for free; check the district's schedule first.

Can anyone use these facilities?

10 listed facilities are confirmed open to the public. Others may limit access by residency or customer type. Check the individual access rules.

How much does a dump run cost?

Compare the listed minimum charges and item fees. A missing price means call to confirm, and an accepted item may still carry the normal load fee.
